Chiropody / Podiatry

A session with the state registered Chiropodist may include: warts, verrucae, ingrown toe nails, corns and callosities, caused by ill-fitting shoes or abnormal pressures; ingrown toenails which may be caused by the edge of the nail becoming embedded; or verrucase, which is a viral infection resulting in warts. A biomechanical examination gait and posture, which may prevent sports injury, might be included.

Children's feet may need regular checks to ensure that adult's foot deformities are avoided. Flat feet, thickened toenails, sweaty feet and dry skin are other conditions commonly treated. Sprains and strains and aching feet. Specialist areas include biomechanical assessments, sports injuries and problems that occur from running.

Matthew has been practicing podiatry for over 20 years. He holds a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine, is a member of the Health Professionals Council and a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
